The Leatherback wing is the buoyancy bladder of the backplate-and-wing. The standard Cordura wing is tough and proven; the Knight Shield upgrade — designed with Knight Divers in Malta around the Golden Ratio — delivers exceptional lumbar support at the surface and a tapered profile that keeps you in trim across the entire water column.

Cordura or Knight Shield — what's the difference?
The Cordura wing is a durable, proven bladder at the standard price. The Knight Shield wing (developed by Knight Divers in Malta) is shaped around the Golden Ratio: it gives superior lumbar support at the surface to keep you head-up before descent, and its tapered top improves trim and comfort throughout the dive. It's a +$135 upgrade.
How much lift do I need?
Lift (25–44 lb) should match your exposure suit, cylinder, and weighting. Warm-water single-tank diving in a wetsuit needs less; drysuits, steel tanks, or doubles need more. Ask us and we'll size it for how you dive.
